Player Pool Three – The Final Four
Justice Bigbie – Detroit Tigers
.343/.405/.537 across High-A → AA → AAA. A 19th-round senior sign who changed his lower-half mechanics and suddenly started hitting for real power. Elite contact + new pop = legit breakout.
Luis Matos – San Francisco Giants
.331/.401/.945 in the minors, then .250/.319/.661 in his MLB debut. The plate discipline and hit tool are real. Power and speed both flashed. He’s ready.
Roman Anthony – Boston Red Sox
.272/.403/.466 with 14 HR & 16 SB at age 19 across A → High-A → AA. Explosive left-handed power, plus speed, and a shockingly mature approach. The Gladiator is coming.
Evan Carter – Texas Rangers
.288/.413/.450, 13 HR, 26 SB in the minors
.306/.413/1.058, 5 HR in 75 MLB PA
Then hit .300/.429/.571 in the postseason and helped the Rangers win the World Series at age 21.
The Winner: Evan Carter
He swept every single award:

Carter didn’t just dominate the minors — he showed up in the majors and immediately looked like a star. Elite plate discipline, sneaky power, plus speed, and plus-plus defense in the corners with the ability to play center. The Rangers just won the World Series with a 21-year-old hitting third in the lineup. That’s not normal.
2023 StS MiLB Outfielder of the Year (Part 3): Evan Carter
The outfield class of 2023 was historically good.
Wyatt Langford, Jackson Chourio, and Evan Carter are the top three — in some order — on every single reputable prospect list heading into 2024.
We had to split the outfield into three parts just to give them all the space they deserve.
