Eduardo Rodriguez delivered a strong start as the Diamondbacks edged the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3. Rodriguez tossed 6.2 scoreless innings, allowing three hits while striking out five and walking three on 95 pitches. The outing helped Arizona secure the narrow victory.

Nick Lodolo started for the Reds in a 2-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. Lodolo worked four scoreless innings, striking out six and allowing two hits with one walk on 75 pitches. The right-hander kept Cincinnati in the game early before the bullpen took over.

Justin Wrobleski earned the win with seven innings of work, giving up two earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Minnesota Twins 12-3.

George Kirby picked up the win after six innings, surrendering one earned run on eight hits with five strikeouts and two walks as the Seattle Mariners edged the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-2.

Wilyer Abreu went 2-4 with a triple, a home run, a walk, two RBI and a stolen base as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Colorado Rockies 5-2.

Edmundo Sosa collected two hits including a double and a home run while driving in five runs as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Washington Nationals 14-9.

Daulton Varsho went 3-6 with two doubles and a home run as the Toronto Blue Jays fell 9-7 to the Houston Astros.

Bryson Stott went 3-4 with a home run, three RBI, four runs scored and a stolen base as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Washington Nationals 14-9.

Luinder Avila earned the win with five innings of one-run ball, striking out six and walking four as the Kansas City Royals defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 12-5.
